InterSystems TrakCare selected as the new

national patient information system for Scotland

InterSystems has announced that it has signed a framework contract with NHS National Service Scotland to supply its InterSystems TrakCare™ connected health information system as the new national patient management system for Scotland.

The contract is a national framework in line with Scotland’s eHealth Strategy that will enable any Health Board access to the system and associated modules over the next four years.

Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is using InterSystems Ensemble^® for an extensive project to rationalise its IT architecture and implement a strategic approach to application integration.  The Trust chose Ensemble, a rapid integration and development platform, to implement a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach to increase its IT service flexibility.  This strategy has enabled the Trust to transform its application integration activity from being an overhead to a value-added opportunity

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Goes Live With New Trust Integration Engine in Three Months

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has linked nine of its applications, including its Electronic Discharge Summary and Theatre systems, with data from its Patient Administration System using the InterSystems Ensemble^® integration platform. Two of these communicate directly with the new integration platform; the other seven are linked to it via an intermediate patient database. This project was achieved in just three months. Ensemble was selected following a competitive tender.

NHS Trusts Connect with InterSystems Ensemble

InterSystems Ensemble^® rapid integration platform is now available to the North, Midlands and East of England (NME) Trusts under the NHS National Programme for IT (NPfIT). Ensemble is being delivered by CSC, the Local System Provider for NME, as the standard Trust Integration Engine (TIE) for integrating new solutions with existing applications provided by CSC.
