InterSystems Placed in Visionaries Quadrant
of Leading Analyst Firm’s Magic Quadrant
for Global Enterprise EHR Systems

ETON, UK —September 22, 2011—InterSystems, a global leader in software for connected care, announced today that it has been positioned in the Visionaries quadrant of  Gartner, Inc.’s Magic Quadrant for Global Enterprise  electronic health record (EHR ) Systems.1 The InterSystems TrakCare™ Web-based, unified healthcare information system was reviewed by Gartner for this report.

 “With rising pressure to cut healthcare costs, while enhancing the quality of care, private and government-owned healthcare delivery organisations (HDOs) are increasingly implementing clinical automation solutions, especially enterprise EHR systems,” according to Gartner. “We believe that integrated EHRs will prevail, but it will take time,” Gartner observed. In addition, the analyst firm pointed out that “HDOs seeking an enterprise EHR system have qualitatively better options to choose from today than previously.”

Vendors were evaluated based on their vision and ability to execute in the global market, according to the report.
