InterSystems Ensemble Trust Integration Engine (TIE)

  1. What is the InterSystems Ensemble® TIE?
    The InterSystems Ensemble Trust Integration Engine (TIE) is specifically for connecting applications in the Trust with the applications supplied by CSC to exchange appropriate information.  The Ensemble TIE will include  access to a growing library of pre-built interfaces for key Trust-based applications. Trusts interested in finding out more should contact their SHA and or local CSC Account Director.

  2. How can I get the Ensemble TIE?
    The Ensemble TIE is available from CSC for Trusts who have implemented or have committed to implement CSC applications within the NME region.  Trusts interested in finding out more should contact their SHA and or local CSC Account Director.

  3. How much will the Ensemble TIE cost?
    The Ensemble TIE is available under the CSC Local Service Provider (LSP) contract as agreed with Connecting for Health (CfH) at no additional cost to the Trust for license, technical support, or software maintenance fees. Trusts interested in finding out more should contact their SHA and or local CSC Account Director.

  4. How can I find out more about which applications I can interface using the Ensemble TIE?
    CSC, CfH, and the Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs) have established a process in which to agree the configurations and artefacts required to connect the applications proposed by Trusts.  NME Trusts are invited to participate in a Trust Integration Forum (TIF) which is an important part of this process. Trusts interested in attending these meeting should contact their SHA.

  5. Can I use the Ensemble TIE to integrate other Trust applications?
    CSC has agreed with InterSystems that if Trusts want to extend the capability of their TIE license beyond the initial connection to the CSC data-centre hosted applications, for example to integrate applications within the Trust, then they can upgrade the TIE license directly with InterSystems.

  6. Can other application vendors work with the Ensemble TIE?
    There are opportunities for application vendors to embed Ensemble in their applications, or prepare their applications to connect using Ensemble.
