The need to manage Big Data is growing. The term Big Data means different things to different people and the solutions range from computing hardware up through the network, virtualisation, database, to the application and every point in between. The theme most often repeated is that to handle Big Data there are compromises to accept, for example in complexity, integrity, analysis, or reporting.
