Based on delegate feedback the Symposium was a great success.  We hope that those of you who attended were able to connect with your peers as well as our colleagues.  The full program provided a great opportunity to learn from the presentations, discussions and the hands-on academy sessions.

For the first time in the UK we decided to run two streams of presentations and discussion, alongside a technical academy track.  The academies gave developers hands-on training on InterSystems latest technology and were so successful that they were fully subscribed throughout the Symposium.

Key highlights of the Symposium were from our guest speakers:

• CSC revealed Why integration is key to the success of the NHS NPfIT

• Nortel showed us how they are Bringing call centres into Virtual Worlds

• Across enlightened and challenged us with Information technology 2.0

• Northgate Information Systems explained how they have chosen InterSystems Ensemble® rather than write their own in their crime prevention services

• Tunstall Group shared with us how they are Using technology to enable new models of health and social care

• Computer Weekly presented the results of the recent Integration for innovation research conducted by Reed Business Insight

Delegates have been enthusiastic in their praise for the interactive and exciting evening entertainment.  The high point was Guy Browning’s hilarious interpretation on Business Innovation, which was preceded by a surprise appearance from the Divas Incognito whom had everyone singing along. The finale fireworks marked the end of the evening’s celebration.
