We were delighted with the turnout for the recent UK Symposium, and based on delegate feedback so far it was a great success.

This two-day event was an opportunity to learn first-hand how InterSystems advanced software for breakthrough applications makes IT more cost-effective and responsive to markets' needs. There were two streams of presentations and discussion, alongside a technical academy track. The academies gave software developers hands-on training on InterSystems latest technology and were so successful that they were fully subscribed throughout the Symposium.

Some of the highlights of the agenda included:

  • Dave Lang, Assistant CIO from NHS Yorkshire and the Humber who described how they are using portals to unlock and share information between hospitals and primary care trusts.
  • Ben Kaner, Head of Enterprise Architecture and Governance at BT Health discussed how the Information Tool Kit (ITK) may prove to be a game-changer.
  • Philip Howard, Research Director at Bloor Research provided an independent update of the Master Data Management market and its vital importance to today's businesses.
