Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and supported InterSystems UK Symposium 2009 on 22nd September.

Based on delegate feedback the Symposium was a great success. We hope that those of you who attended were able to connect with your peers as well as our colleagues. The full program provided a great opportunity to learn from the presentations, discussions and the hands-on academy sessions.

Following feedback from our 2008 Symposium we decided to continue to run two streams of presentations and discussion, alongside a technical academy track. The academies gave developers hands-on training on InterSystems latest technology and were so successful that they were fully subscribed throughout the Symposium.

Key highlights of the Symposium included:

  • PCS used their collaborative, semantic enabled ‘Knowledge’ application to dynamically publish and print, and display on an iRex and iPhone.
  • Philip Howard, Bloor Research shared his insight into trends in decision support and Business Intelligence.
  • SmartWater and XIS showed why criminals fear their dna style water-tight forensic evidence system.
  • Northgate Information Solutions explained how they are rapidly building composite applications using InterSystems Ensemble® for British Police forces.
  • Hands-on Zen and DeepSee training workshops
  • The Stadium tours rounded off a packed agenda, with a behind-the-scenes tour of the home of English rugby

The presentations will shortly be available to download from the online agenda, and we would be delighted to answer any questions or receive your feedback about the event and how we can improve on it next year.

If you would like to be certain of receiving an invitation to our UK Symposium 2010 please email us at: Symposium09@intersys.com.

We look forward to seeing you again, soon
